KMS News Update, August 1, 2009!

- It's been a long week, but it's time for the newest Kings of Mid South Wrestling News Update! We know it's been quiet since last week's TV tapings, and we apologize, but this Update, one week before our NEXT TV Tapings, will make up for it!

- At the TV Tapings, Nicholas Jackson seemed to have "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels on the ropes, when he was brutally attacked by the Orient Wrestling Machines! The Confederacy made the save, running off Jackson's foreign attackers, and daring them to come back in! Next Saturday, Daniels and the OWMs will have no choice! Our main event will be Nigel Daniels and the Orient Wrestling Machines against Nicholas Jackson and The Confederacy!

- Iconoclasm also felt the sting of the Orient last Saturday, as an illegal change between the two Wrestling Machines cost the high-flyers a victory! Next week, Jason McNeill is in singles competition as he faces "Mr. Awesome" Kyle Nowell in Nowell's in-ring KMS debut! Chris Jameson won't be left out however, as he'll be taking on Adnan X!

- Daniel Alexander got in touch with us during the week, not only to praise his talent on the show last Saturday, but announce "big plans in store" that we'll find out about in the very near future!

- This is the big announcement you've been waiting for! Kings of Mid South Wrestling's first Supershow is three weeks from tonight, and we at the KMS offices are the first to announce that it will take place at the legendary Memorial Gymnasium on the campus of Vanderbilt University! The event, entitled "KMS Crowning Point," will feature the deciding matches for both the KMS Heavyweight, and KMS Tag Team Titles, in a 20 man battle royal and six-team gauntlet match! Tickets are on sale now at local Kroger locations, the Vanderbilt Memorial Gym box office, KMS Studios, and online at KingsofMidSouth.com!

- With one week to go until the next TV tapings, anything can happen in KMS! We'll be back before the show, promise!

Kings of Mid South TV Taping, 7/25/09

- The first Kings of Mid South Wrestling television taping kicked off with the lead announcers of KMS, Larry Wise and Edgar Smith, in the ring, hyping the show for the capacity crowd of 350 in attendance! Wise and Smith ran down the scheduled matches for tonight's show;

The Orient Wrestling Machines vs. Iconoclasm
Joshua Frampton vs. "Hollywood" Paul Watson
and in the main event, "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels vs. First Sgt. Nicholas Jackson!

The fans reacted in kind, cheering for Iconoclasm, Frampton, and Jackson, and giving their most vicious reaction to Nigel Daniels. But the first wrestler to be seen by the audience?

- "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams! Williams, wearing a crown, cape, and carrying what he calls the "Southern Wrestling Championship," entered the KMS Studios, and interrupted Wise and Smith! Smith was happy to give the floor over to Terrence, even handing over his microphone!

Quotables:

"What an honor! Larry, take off your hat, we're being joined by the KING! The King of Wrestling, Terrence Williams!" - Edgar Smith

"Edgar, I'm not even wearing a hat! Mr. Williams, what's the meaning of this interruption?" - Edgar Wise

"I issued three contracts, and I've yet to hear ANYONE accept my challenge! Come on, I'll even put my Southern Wrestling Title on the line, right here tonight! First K-M-S match, and it's already having the most important title in the wrestling world being defended!" - Terrence Williams

- The fans rose to their feet, however, when the moderately Mexican-tinged theme of Abracadabra and Razzmatazz started up, and the two luchadors came out! While Abracadabra started performing small magic tricks for the kids sitting in the front row, Razzmatazz got into the ring, and pointed at the "Southern Wrestling Title" belt, and the match was on!

MATCH 1 - "Southern Wrestling Title" Match!: "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams "(c)" vs. Razzmatazz

- The match started as soon as Wise and Smith left the ring, and Williams immediately struck, kicking Razzmatazz in the midsection, and whipping him into the ropes, knocking him to the mat with a shoulderblock. Despite not being a big man himself, Williams used his size advantage to simply manhandle the luchador! A powerslam followed, and soon after, Terrence Williams was finishing his overmatched foe off with his Inverted DDT!

WINNER: "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams

- Larry threw it to a pretaped segment of himself interviewing the graduates of Jonathan Collins' (r)Evolution Dojo, Joshua Frampton and the tag team of Iconoclasm, Jason McNeill and Chris Jameson!

Quotables:

"We're just here to show that we're one of, if not the best, tag teams in the world. We'll take on all comers, and it starts tonight with the Wrestling Machines." - Chris Jameson

"There's a lot of people talking about how they want to be the last team in that Gauntlet for the tag belts, but we'd rather go in first, and beat everyone in our path!" - Jason McNeill

"Paul Watson talks a lot of talk, but later tonight he's gonna find out I walk the walk." - Joshua Frampton

- After a commercial break, Edgar Smith recapped the opening contest, reinforcing the dominance showed by Terrence Williams. Larry then brought up the next match!

MATCH 2: The Orient Wrestling Machines (#1 & #2) vs. Iconoclasm (Jason McNeill and Chris Jameson)

- This match was high flying from the start, as Iconoclasm cleared the ring, then leapt out opposite sides to catch the OWMs off-guard with matching planchas! The referee got things back under control, however, and that's when the OWMs took control. The men from the Orient were hard to tell apart, approximately the same height, same build, and both wearing full white bodysuits, with a red "Rising Sun" in the center of their chests. The matching red masks didn't help either, as Larry and Edgar couldn't even see their eyes through the mesh that covered those holes in the masks! They continually tagged out, keeping Jason away from his partner, until a back body drop attempt went wrong for the man the commentary team had taken to calling "#2", and Jason McNeill made the tag to Chris Jameson! Jameson came in off the top rope, catching OWM 2 with a missile dropkick! He knocked OWM 1 off the apron, but got caught from behind with an eye rake from OWM 2. Jason McNeill attempted to help his partner, but the referee began escorting him back to their corner. As he was doing it, the OWMs switched out, and OWM 1 hit a vicious Torture Rack Neckbreaker, a move Edgar Smith immediately called "The Rising Sun"! The three count was academic, and the OWMs had stolen this match!

WINNERS: The Orient Wrestling Machines

- While McNeill tried to plead his team's case to the referee, the Wrestling Machines made a quick escape. Edgar called the move a "smart, strategic maneuver", but Larry Wise was quick to label the Machines "dirty, rotten cheaters."

- Back at the KMS Commentary/Interview area, Larry moved on to talking about the next KMS TV Tapings, scheduled to happen on August 8, right here in the KMS Studios! Before he could announce the main event, he was interrupted by another tag team; Mikey Knox and Eli Badass, The Punx! The fans weren't happy with this interruption, but Mikey and Eli didn't seem to care at all.

Quotables:

"And tickets are on sale right now, get to the KMS Box Off-oh come on, another interruption!?" - Larry Wise

"Look, old man, the fact that Eli and me aren't on this week's show? It's an embarrassment! Everyone knows we're the best tag team in Kings of Mid South, and everyone knows we're gonna be the next Tag Team Champions!" - Mikey Knox

"It's REAL SIMPLE! Two weeks from now, we're gonna get in that ring, RIGHT THERE, and pound those two [CENSORED] Mexicans into the dirt! Then anyone else, ANYONE, who thinks they can beat us? They can step up too!" - Eli Badass

- After the break, a short video aired of clips of two African American men showing no mercy in beating their opponents in other, smaller promotions. At the end, it was a single shot of the two, Adnan X and Rafael Muhammad, standing tall with one fist raised in the air...

MATCH 3: "Hollywood" Paul Watson vs. Joshua Frampton

- While Edgar Smith rattled on about Watson's role in the latest Punisher movie, the man himself had his hands full! Joshua Frampton was out to prove that he's quite possibly the best in-ring competitor in KMS, and his skills on the mat were certainly unmatched by Paul Watson. It wasn't long before Watson found himself on the receiving end of Frampton's Fujiwara Armbar, correctly identified by Larry Wise as "Pure Pain!"

WINNER: Joshua Frampton

- But before Frampton could savor the victory, Watson was back up and attacking him with his good arm! Frampton rolled out, and Watson glared at him from the ring as the victor left ringside.

- After the final commercial break of the evening, we were greeted by the sight of "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels, already in the ring! Daniels had a microphone, and was consistently running down the USA, until he was interrupted by First Sgt. Nicholas Jackson!

Quotables:

"Look at the lot of yeh! Not a single one in healthy shape, all of you grown fat off of America! I'm here to show the superiority of the United Kingdom!" - Nigel Daniels

"You know, he's got a lot of good ideas, Larry! You could learn a lot from Nigel Daniels!" - Edgar Smith

"You can think whatever you like, Edgar, but this isn't the time or pla-AND THERE HE IS! Nicholas Jackson is in the house!" - Larry Wise

"I think...it's HIGH TIME...you learn a LESSON, Daniels! I'm gonna be the one...t' TEACH IT!" - Nicholas Jackson

MAIN EVENT!: "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels vs. First Sgt. Nicholas Jackson

- Jackson charged his opponent, knocking him out of the ring, and immediately riling the fans into a "U-S-A!" chant. Daniels took his time to recover, returning to the ring at the count of 8, and raking the eyes to gain an advantage. Daniels proved he's no slouch when it comes to wrestling, controlling Nicholas Jackson until he attempted an elbow drop from the second rope! Jackson got fired up from the fans in attendance, and started hitting big time shoulder blocks! Just as it looked like the Sergeant was about to hit his patented "Old Glory Shoulderbreaker," he was attacked by the Orient Wrestling Machines!

WINNER: Nicholas Jackson (via DQ)

- The OWMs looked to have the advantage, clearly, and Nigel Daniels returned to his feet to help, but the entire building got on THEIR feet when Billy Coles and Bubba Hayes, THE CONFEDERACY, came running down to help Jackson! The pair cleared the ring of Daniels and the OWMs, and dared them to come back in as Nicholas Jackson returned to his feet! Larry Wise thanked the fans for watching, and promised that this wasn't the end of this rivalry!

SUMMARY:
"The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams d. Razzmatazz (Pinfall, 3:24)
The Orient Wrestling Machines d. Iconoclasm (Pinfall, 8:59)
Joshua Frampton d. "Hollywood" Paul Watson (Submission, 5:44)
Nicholas Jackson d. "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels (Disqualification, 9:18)

KMS News Update, July 23, 2009!

- It's the last KMS News Update before our first TV Taping! We're extremely excited to announce that tickets are SOLD OUT for this Saturday's event, and have the last match for the show still to announce. In fact, it's the first story!

- In the last News Update, we told you about the Orient Wrestling Machines. Saturday night, they'll be competing against the other two (r)Evolution Dojo members, Iconoclasm; Jason McNeill and Chris Jameson! These two high-flyers can be thorns in the side of any tag team, and it will be interesting to see how the OWMs will handle them.

- This edition of the KMS News Update is all about the tag teams! This week we've already introduced you to The Confederacy, Iconoclasm, and The Orient Wrestling Machines. There are still three more teams, all of whom take center stage in this Update.

- From Mexico come the colorful "luchadors" Razzmatazz and Abracadabra! The favorite wrestlers of kids across the Mid South, this pair have been performing wrestling magic for years in the region. Now they'll bring their act to the forefront of wrestling, Kings of Mid South Wrestling!

- "Punk Rock" music isn't the newest trend sweeping the nation, but this pair of hard-nosed, hated brawlers may be! Mikey Knox and Eli Badass are The Punx, and their leather-clad, mohawked look helps them stand out among the pack. The fans have already stated their distaste for these men, and they sent word to us that the dislike is completely mutual!

- Another tag team that certainly isn't on the good side of the KMS fans are Adnan X and Rafael Muhammad. They're determined to prove they're not only "just as good" as the other teams, but that they're better, "regardless of our skin color!" While we in the KMS offices certainly don't hold any prejudices against anyone, Adnan and Rafael certainly seem to.

- Daniel Alexander finally returned one of our calls...to tell us to stop calling! He did divulge to us, however, that he's had people from all over the wrestling world calling about the open contracts that were issued by "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams. Whether anyone had officially signed the contracts...we don't know. But Williams certainly has his hands full, and we expect someone to accept a challenge Saturday night!

- Next week, we'll have fallout from the first KMS TV Taping, the announcement of the location of the first KMS Supershow, and we'll already be talking about the next TV Taping!

KMS News Update, July 20, 2009!

- It's time for another Kings of Mid South Wrestling news update! We'll get right to it, with the announcement of another big match for this Saturday's first television taping!

- "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels is a hard nosed British veteran, who's been outspoken on his views of America. He's always willing to back up his words in the ring, though, and that's why he'll be taking on KMS' only former member of the armed forces, Nicholas Jackson! Jackson, a former first sergeant in the US Army, has been a favorite of Mid South fans since his debut in 2006. Daniels and Jackson, this Saturday!

- Another name making his way to KMS is Stephen Lawson. Lawson is the only wrestler besides The Confederacy and the (r)Evolution Dojo graduates to compete outside of the region, as he had a short run in Hudson River Wrestling, an WWA affiliate. His successes there were far and few in between, but the Nashville native wants to make a big splash back in his home state!

- Terror comes from the East! Two of Japan's most dangerous men are coming to Kings of Mid South Wrestling, known only as the Orient Wrestling Machines! These two masked competitors are known for their deadly martial arts and "Puroresu" attacks, and intend on carrying out their reign of destruction on the tag team division in KMS!

- One of the most...ahem, "modest" wrestlers in KMS, "Mr. Awesome" Kyle Nowell is an extremely cocky young man, though many agree, he has the skills to back his claims up! Nowell won't be in action this Saturday, but he will be in attendance, and plans on making a name for himself in the very near future!

- Once again, we here at the KMS offices attempted to contact our boss, Daniel Alexander, about his workings outside of the office, but he did not return our calls. We will be ever vigilant, and you the fans will be the first to hear anything we find out!

- That's it for this KMS News Update, join us later this week, and remember; tickets are still on sale for the first KMS television taping, and the first KMS Supershow, which we will have the location of next week!

KMS News Update, July 17, 2009!

- Welcome to the first Kings of Mid South Wrestling news update! This is where you'll get all the information on upcoming KMS TV tapings, supershows, and new acquisitions! Let's get right to it.

- The first television taping at the KMS Studios is a week from tomorrow, and we've got the first main event to announce; Joshua Frampton, graduate of the (r)Evolution Dojo, will be taking on "Hollywood" Paul Watson! Watson appeared as an extra in the Hollywood feature film, "Punisher: War Zone", and says Kings of Mid South Wrestling is just another stop on his quest for stardom in television and film!

- KMS' first "Supershow" is being entitled "The Crowning", and will feature the decision matches to determine the first KMS Heavyweight and Tag Team champions. For the KMS Heavyweight Title, the entire roster will be included in a battle royal matchup, where the last man standing will be awarded the Title!

- The Tag Team Titles will be determined in a Tag Team Gauntlet Match; two teams will start, and the winners will advance to face the next team. The last team standing after all six teams have competed will be the first KMS Tag Team Champions!

- Kings of Mid South Wrestling promoter Daniel Alexander has already contacted several promotions in an attempt to expand the horizons of KMS talent. When asked, Alexander wouldn't even give US a comment! Nothing is solid as of yet, but as soon as we at KMS have news, this will be the first place to hear it!

- Another member of the KMS roster is "The True King of Wrestling," Terrence Williams. Williams, a self-proclaimed "Former 39-time Southern Wrestling Champion," is a seasoned veteran, and one of the most hated men in Tennessee wrestling! He's already issued three open contracts, claiming he's willing to take on any three wrestlers "man enough" to face him in the ring.

- In the next KMS News Update, we'll announce more KMS talent, as well as another match for the first TV Taping!

Nashville Businessman Announces New Wrestling Venture

NASHVILLE, TN - Local businessman Daniel Alexander announced earlier today the formation of a new professional wrestling company, entitled Kings of Mid South Wrestling. The company will promote out of Brentwood, Tennessee, taping two television programs a month for broadcast on both the local FOX affiliate and several other networks scattered in the state.

Among the talents mentioned for the promotion's roster are former Hudson River Wrestling tag team, The Confederacy, Billy Coles and Brett "Bubba" Hayes. The two, known for their hard hitting style in the ring, are expected to be key components of the company's formative months. Three members of Jonathan Collins' (r)Evolution Dojo are mentioned in the KMS press primer; Joshua Frampton and the tag team Iconoclasm. The three are touted as the "best in-ring competitors the Mid-South has ever seen."

The first television taping has been announced for the newly named "KMS Studio" in Brentwood, with a date of July 25, 2009. Alexander assured those attending the small press event that more news and matches for the first taping, as well as the first KMS "Supershow" would be released in the coming days.
