- The first Kings of Mid South Wrestling television taping kicked off with the lead announcers of KMS, Larry Wise and Edgar Smith, in the ring, hyping the show for the capacity crowd of 350 in attendance! Wise and Smith ran down the scheduled matches for tonight's show;
The Orient Wrestling Machines vs. Iconoclasm
Joshua Frampton vs. "Hollywood" Paul Watson
and in the main event, "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels vs. First Sgt. Nicholas Jackson!
The fans reacted in kind, cheering for Iconoclasm, Frampton, and Jackson, and giving their most vicious reaction to Nigel Daniels. But the first wrestler to be seen by the audience?
- "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams! Williams, wearing a crown, cape, and carrying what he calls the "Southern Wrestling Championship," entered the KMS Studios, and interrupted Wise and Smith! Smith was happy to give the floor over to Terrence, even handing over his microphone!
Quotables:
"What an honor! Larry, take off your hat, we're being joined by the KING! The King of Wrestling, Terrence Williams!" - Edgar Smith
"Edgar, I'm not even wearing a hat! Mr. Williams, what's the meaning of this interruption?" - Edgar Wise
"I issued three contracts, and I've yet to hear ANYONE accept my challenge! Come on, I'll even put my Southern Wrestling Title on the line, right here tonight! First K-M-S match, and it's already having the most important title in the wrestling world being defended!" - Terrence Williams
- The fans rose to their feet, however, when the moderately Mexican-tinged theme of Abracadabra and Razzmatazz started up, and the two luchadors came out! While Abracadabra started performing small magic tricks for the kids sitting in the front row, Razzmatazz got into the ring, and pointed at the "Southern Wrestling Title" belt, and the match was on!
MATCH 1 - "Southern Wrestling Title" Match!: "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams "(c)" vs. Razzmatazz- The match started as soon as Wise and Smith left the ring, and Williams immediately struck, kicking Razzmatazz in the midsection, and whipping him into the ropes, knocking him to the mat with a shoulderblock. Despite not being a big man himself, Williams used his size advantage to simply manhandle the luchador! A powerslam followed, and soon after, Terrence Williams was finishing his overmatched foe off with his Inverted DDT!
WINNER: "The True King of Wrestling" Terrence Williams- Larry threw it to a pretaped segment of himself interviewing the graduates of Jonathan Collins' (r)Evolution Dojo, Joshua Frampton and the tag team of Iconoclasm, Jason McNeill and Chris Jameson!
Quotables:
"We're just here to show that we're one of, if not the best, tag teams in the world. We'll take on all comers, and it starts tonight with the Wrestling Machines." - Chris Jameson
"There's a lot of people talking about how they want to be the last team in that Gauntlet for the tag belts, but we'd rather go in first, and beat everyone in our path!" - Jason McNeill
"Paul Watson talks a lot of talk, but later tonight he's gonna find out I walk the walk." - Joshua Frampton
- After a commercial break, Edgar Smith recapped the opening contest, reinforcing the dominance showed by Terrence Williams. Larry then brought up the next match!
MATCH 2: The Orient Wrestling Machines (#1 & #2) vs. Iconoclasm (Jason McNeill and Chris Jameson)- This match was high flying from the start, as Iconoclasm cleared the ring, then leapt out opposite sides to catch the OWMs off-guard with matching planchas! The referee got things back under control, however, and that's when the OWMs took control. The men from the Orient were hard to tell apart, approximately the same height, same build, and both wearing full white bodysuits, with a red "Rising Sun" in the center of their chests. The matching red masks didn't help either, as Larry and Edgar couldn't even see their eyes through the mesh that covered those holes in the masks! They continually tagged out, keeping Jason away from his partner, until a back body drop attempt went wrong for the man the commentary team had taken to calling "#2", and Jason McNeill made the tag to Chris Jameson! Jameson came in off the top rope, catching OWM 2 with a missile dropkick! He knocked OWM 1 off the apron, but got caught from behind with an eye rake from OWM 2. Jason McNeill attempted to help his partner, but the referee began escorting him back to their corner. As he was doing it, the OWMs switched out, and OWM 1 hit a vicious Torture Rack Neckbreaker, a move Edgar Smith immediately called "The Rising Sun"! The three count was academic, and the OWMs had stolen this match!
WINNERS: The Orient Wrestling Machines- While McNeill tried to plead his team's case to the referee, the Wrestling Machines made a quick escape. Edgar called the move a "smart, strategic maneuver", but Larry Wise was quick to label the Machines "dirty, rotten cheaters."
- Back at the KMS Commentary/Interview area, Larry moved on to talking about the next KMS TV Tapings, scheduled to happen on August 8, right here in the KMS Studios! Before he could announce the main event, he was interrupted by another tag team; Mikey Knox and Eli Badass, The Punx! The fans weren't happy with this interruption, but Mikey and Eli didn't seem to care at all.
Quotables:
"And tickets are on sale right now, get to the KMS Box Off-oh come on, another interruption!?" - Larry Wise
"Look, old man, the fact that Eli and me aren't on this week's show? It's an embarrassment! Everyone knows we're the best tag team in Kings of Mid South, and everyone knows we're gonna be the next Tag Team Champions!" - Mikey Knox
"It's REAL SIMPLE! Two weeks from now, we're gonna get in that ring, RIGHT THERE, and pound those two [CENSORED] Mexicans into the dirt! Then anyone else, ANYONE, who thinks they can beat us? They can step up too!" - Eli Badass
- After the break, a short video aired of clips of two African American men showing no mercy in beating their opponents in other, smaller promotions. At the end, it was a single shot of the two, Adnan X and Rafael Muhammad, standing tall with one fist raised in the air...
MATCH 3: "Hollywood" Paul Watson vs. Joshua Frampton- While Edgar Smith rattled on about Watson's role in the latest Punisher movie, the man himself had his hands full! Joshua Frampton was out to prove that he's quite possibly the best in-ring competitor in KMS, and his skills on the mat were certainly unmatched by Paul Watson. It wasn't long before Watson found himself on the receiving end of Frampton's Fujiwara Armbar, correctly identified by Larry Wise as "Pure Pain!"
WINNER: Joshua Frampton- But before Frampton could savor the victory, Watson was back up and attacking him with his good arm! Frampton rolled out, and Watson glared at him from the ring as the victor left ringside.
- After the final commercial break of the evening, we were greeted by the sight of "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels, already in the ring! Daniels had a microphone, and was consistently running down the USA, until he was interrupted by First Sgt. Nicholas Jackson!
Quotables:
"Look at the lot of yeh! Not a single one in healthy shape, all of you grown fat off of America! I'm here to show the superiority of the United Kingdom!" - Nigel Daniels
"You know, he's got a lot of good ideas, Larry! You could learn a lot from Nigel Daniels!" - Edgar Smith
"You can think whatever you like, Edgar, but this isn't the time or pla-AND THERE HE IS! Nicholas Jackson is in the house!" - Larry Wise
"I think...it's HIGH TIME...you learn a LESSON, Daniels! I'm gonna be the one...t' TEACH IT!" - Nicholas Jackson
MAIN EVENT!: "The Executioner" Nigel Daniels vs. First Sgt. Nicholas Jackson- Jackson charged his opponent, knocking him out of the ring, and immediately riling the fans into a "U-S-A!" chant. Daniels took his time to recover, returning to the ring at the count of 8, and raking the eyes to gain an advantage. Daniels proved he's no slouch when it comes to wrestling, controlling Nicholas Jackson until he attempted an elbow drop from the second rope! Jackson got fired up from the fans in attendance, and started hitting big time shoulder blocks! Just as it looked like the Sergeant was about to hit his patented "Old Glory Shoulderbreaker," he was attacked by the Orient Wrestling Machines!
WINNER: Nicholas Jackson (via DQ)- The OWMs looked to have the advantage, clearly, and Nigel Daniels returned to his feet to help, but the entire building got on THEIR feet when Billy Coles and Bubba Hayes, THE CONFEDERACY, came running down to help Jackson! The pair cleared the ring of Daniels and the OWMs, and dared them to come back in as Nicholas Jackson returned to his feet! Larry Wise thanked the fans for watching, and promised that this wasn't the end of this rivalry!
